Nan L. Crockett
Ms. Crockett, president of Breakaway Laughter Company, is an experienced speaker and business-to-business consultant on navigating change and stress management in the workplace. She is also an adjunct instructor at Drake University and a Reiki Master. After getting her bachelors degree in broadcasting and master’s degree in communications, Nan Crockett worked for a number of years with Hills Department Stores, at that time a Fortune 500 retail firm. There she directed customer service, governmental relations, sales promotions, public affairs, marketing, and the charitable foundation for the company. Her present firm, Breakaway Laughter Company, emphasizes stress management and interpersonal communication as going hand in hand with the other elements in any company’s strategic planning process. She has served on the board for the American Society for Training and Development, Central Iowa Chapter, and chaired the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s annual Business Expo.
